On behalf of the College of Medical Associate Professionals (CMAPs), we extend our heartfelt congratulations to UMAPS, its General Secretary Stephen Nash, and the Senior Leadership Team for their remarkable achievement in formally establishing UMAPs as a trade union for Medical Associate Professionals (MAPs). 

This milestone marks a historic moment for MAPs, representing a significant step forward in ensuring their voices are heard, their rights are protected, and their contributions to healthcare are fully recognised. It highlights the dedication and advocacy of UMAPS in safeguarding jobs and addressing critical challenges facing our profession. Your commitment to MAPs through decisive and impactful actions has inspired confidence across the workforce. 

At CMAPs, we are dedicated to championing the growth, education, and development of MAPs. By working collaboratively with organisations like UMAPS, we strengthen our shared vision of a future where MAPs are recognised as essential contributors to healthcare.

As Acting Co-Presidents of the Office of Physician Associates at CMAPs, we, Mobashar Rashid and Alice Fitzpatrick, alongside the CMAPs Leadership Team, commend the achievements of UMAPS.
